Hannah Yeoh has resigned!

Image
Believe it or not? Hannah Yeoh has resigned.           Or, at least this is the impression given by a video that is circulating on social media. In fact, these days, the disseminators of false information need not say anything.          Due to the "controversy" created by the cyber troopers, it is easy for anyone watching this video to feel sad that Minister of Youth and Sports has called it a day.           But look at it carefully. Where was this video taken? It was in parliament. Wow, it would be serious if Yeoh resigned as a parliamentarian, which means Segambut people get to vote again.         This may be their opportunity to put the Perikatan National (PN) in power, after which we may see public caning of any Muslim man or woman caught in a khalwat situation.            This was what Datuk Hashim Jasin , the spiritual advisor of PAS, a m...

Mengulas isu 'Menjadi Hannah Yeoh'

I received this interesting comment piece by a Muslim man: Mengulas isu 'Menjadi Hannah Yeoh' Oleh  Fairul al Qasas 1. 5. Bagi mereka yang bukan Islam, ...

Remembering May 13 and what it was not

Remembering May 13 and what it was not By  FocusM 08/05/2023 in   Featured ,  Mainstream , Top FIVE DAYS from today will be the 54 th anniversary of May 13 which was never a racial riot although it was made to look like one. A senior citizen who lived as a teenager in Kampung Dato’ Keramat tells of his story how that during the May 13 riot in 1969, the Malay neighbours rallied around the family to protect them. “There were not many Chinese families in the Malay village,” he recalls. “Because I used to visit my Malay friends and even occasionally slept in their homes when the day turned dark – addressing their parents as  Pakcik  and  Makcik  – they became like my own uncles and aunties.” Preferring to remain anonymous, the 70-year-old said he never believes that May 13 was a “racial riot” at all. Stories of citizens protecting others of another race are many. Prof Datuk Elizabeth Lee, Group CEO of Sunway Education Group, remembers the incident v...

Will Agong choose to release Najib or put him in house detention?

Image
VERY SOON, people will be screaming once again about former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's house detention.          Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution has already stated clearly that house arrest was only to address the overcrowding in prisons. Only those with minor cases are placed on house detention.           As for Najib, it is obvious that the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) Sultan Ibrahim the king of Malaysia has decided to handle it himself. While anything that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim does will be twisted by the cybertroopers, His Majesty's decision cannot be disputed. Anyone who dares to challenge the King's decision will face the consequences.          In fact, PAS has instructed all its members to support UMNO in an upcoming street demonstration, to show solidarity towards Najib. I wonder why most netizens kept very quiet about PAS' announcement. Ev...

Very touched by her example

At a time when the nation is outraged by the mutilation of cats and dogs, one woman chose to rescue a cat from a block in Sri Penara Apartment, Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.           In fact, it was her child who first spotted the cat and took photographs to show Kak Shaa, a volunteer at Taman Kucing in Bandar Tun Razak.           The cat’s condition was heartbreaking, with part of its bone exposed when Kak Shaa finally found it after searching for several days.        Unable to attend to it herself due to her busy schedule, she enlisted the help of another volunteer to take the cat, now named Belang, to a veterinarian for treatment.        Part of Belang's leg had to be amputated. Two rounds of surgery were carried out, according to Kak Shaa.         The second volunteer promised that she would be willing to take care of Belang despite now only h...
