A Suggestion for the Ministry of Youth and Sports


This is one way how the Ministry of Youth and Sports can be involved in building up well-motivated young people to achieve the career of their choice. 

        Even as young as 12, young people find it useful to get exposure of this nature.

        I took these children for a few hours of exposure at the High Court Complex at Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim in Kuala Lumpur.

        They were given a briefing about the Lower and Higher Courts. For the Lower Courts, they were able to visit a Magistrate Court while it was in recess. 

        For the High Courts, they had the opportunity to watch the court proceeding of a suit between the Attorney-General's Chambers vs Developer (first party) and Consultant (second party).

        They saw how both the Prosecution Counsels and Defence Counsels examined and cross-examined one of the Defence Witnesses. 

        I hope the Minister of Youth and Sports will implement a programme that will expose our young people throughout the country to help them gain some exposure to various professions. It is unfortunate that schools left on their own are unable to organise such trips for the young people.

Akhirnya, anak Sarawak ini — Soliman Wan — telah menerima kewarganegaraannya! Dilahirkan 52 tahun lalu di kawasan pedalaman Sarawak, bukan sesuatu yang mudah bagi ayah dan ibunya untuk ke bandar bagi mendaftarkan kelahriannya. Tambahan pula, pada waktu itu, ramai penduduk di Sabah dan Sarawak kurang memahami kepentingan dokumen rasmi sebagai bukti status kewarganegaraan. Soliman dilahirkan pada tahun 1974, ketika Malaysia baru berusia 13 tahun. Kefahaman mengenai kewarganegaraan masih belum begitu meluas, terutamanya dalam kalangan masyarakat yang tercicir daripada arus pembangunan dan sistem pendidikan negara. Aduan Sifar: Tauladan Dato' Zahri Samingon menerajui Aduan Sifar untuk MBPJ perlu dicontohi oleh Yang DIPertua Majlis-majlis lain

  Saya amat kagum dengan Datuk Bandar Petaling Jaya, Dato’ Zahri Samingon. Dalam satu perbincangan ringkas melalui WhatsApp, saya menyuarakan kebimbangan bahawa kesesakan lalu lintas yang ketara berkemungkinan berlaku di persimpangan Jalan 16/11 dan Jalan 17/1 dalam beberapa bulan akan datang. Saya baru sahaja dimaklumkan bahawa satu lagi jemaah gereja berskala besar akan berpindah ke situ pada bulan Julai, yang hampir pasti akan menambah tekanan di persimpangan yang sedia sibuk tersebut.
