Another Reform already in place
Many may not realise that the Madani government has put in place the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Studies as part of the General Studies for Malaysian Universities.
This has, in fact, been going on for two years now. How many of us even seen how this initiative is part of Anwar’s fight against corruption? With a cleaner society, the next generation of businesses people can expect a more level playing field.
I only learnt about this recently through a lecturer who teaches the subject.
It reflects Anwar’s commitment to fighting corruption. Under Azam Baki’s leadership, the MACC has taken on high-profile cases that were previously untouched—including two Tun figures and their family members. News or many of these cases on you can get on Youtube, or if you go to TikTok, you will be find them if you search Friends of SPRM.
Millions have been seized from civil servants, notably from immigration and customs departments. The MACC has also dismantled numerous syndicates involved in corrupt practices. If you possess any information, please contact the MACC.
The Integrity and anti-corruption studies curriculum in universities now replaces Malaysian Studies—formerly one of the three compulsory elective subjects. This is more meaningful looking forward to a brighter future for our next generation.
This is what Gemini provided me: “.The course discusses the importance of transparency and accountability in government and business. It examines real-world case studies of corruption and the consequences for those involved. And it explores the role of individuals and organisations in promoting a culture of integrity and combating corruption.
“It also explores the role of technology in fighting corruption, besides touching on how things like data analytics and blockchain can be used to track transactions and identify suspicious activity.”
