Wil there be a general election soon?

Frankly, I doubt if the Yang DiPertuan Agong would be held at ransom by a few Umno leaders from the

"court cluster" who want to push for the General Election this year.

What we see unfolding may be just a sitcom drama, where an unspoken agreement between Prime Minister, Ismail Sabry Yaacob and the King could have been forged.

After all, Ismail Sabry stands to win if he holds on to the post until the full term is up by July next year. If Umno president, Zahid Hamidi goes to jail, Ismail Sabry would have a better chance to take over the position.

He can garner more than enough support from the divisional leaders since he is now holding an important position.

The king has also done his homework to find out about the country's preparedness to face the monsoon season. We are talking about the lives of thousands of people and their homes, and I am sure that the King would not take this lightly.

This morning, I have just watched a video clip showing the flood hitting a school in Johor. So to hold a general election, I am sure Zahid would have to wade through the flood water to get to his voters.

        We will watch and see.
