The Great Public is interested more in government than in politics

By Rafidah Aziz

UNLESS WE , the People , are  FLOCK OF pliable SHEEP....EASILY HERDED by the Shepherd , and the Sepherd Dogs...to go wherever, and do whatever, that is DECIDED BY THEM , and FOR THEM...

...THEN it is important for US , and  those ENTRUSTED to GOVERN...to understand ...

    ...WHAT GOVERNMENT and GOVERNANCE

          MEAN , and INVOLVE

....WHAT the PEOPLE EXPECT  as results , and

           Impact ,of that GOVERNANCE

.....WHAT it takes to be RESPONSIBLE in

          Managing and Utilising PUBLIC MONIES...

ie MONEYS belonging to THE PEOPLE

                   THEMSELVES

......HOW to COPE with CHANGE , and do what is

        NECESSARY, to MANAGE, SUCCESSFULLY

         any CHANGE

Hence , THOSE in Positions of AUTHORITY, MUST

   UNDERSTAND that DIFFERENCE between ...

      ....GOVERNMENT and POLITICS

      ....GOVERNANCE and " POLITICKING"

TODAY, in Malaysia, we are witnessing  ENDLESS POLITICKING , FOCUSSING ONLY on " POLITICAL PARTIES"....and the SCRAMBLING for POWER.

There is that GLARING CHASM , between

INWARD LOOKING " POLITICKING "   and GOVERNING...as illustrated by the daily PREOCCUPATION with...

.....SEATS to Contest in...( NOTE THAT FEW of

      the Contenders talk about  CONSTITUENCIES..

... WHICH refer to THE PEOPLE , those

Who EXPECT SERVICE , with Commitment )

A " SEAT " IMPLIES a Place in the Chambers of PARLIAMENT ,or in the Vaious   STATE ASSEMBLIES...

.....WHICH , then,  PROVIDES that OPPORTUNITY to be given CUSHY POSTS , in the FUTURE  GOVERNMENT...right UP to the POST of PRIME MINISTER...

HENCE we begin to see PARTY HOPPING, and " picking out " of SEATS to CONTEST...

THE POLITICAL FROGS , once again, will be

HOPPING AROUND....Possibly attracted by WHATEVER " BAITS " and " INDUCEMENTS ", being DANGLED at them...

It is ALL ABOUT POLITICS and POWER...

     NOT about RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE....

       TO SERVE the PEOPLE....

Not to DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY obtain GAIN

and Benefits, for THEIR OWN SELVES...

MALAYSIA is at a CROSSROADS NOW...

The PEOPLE can CHOOSE to ...

....PERPETUATE the ROT and the DOWNWARDS SLIDE

  .....TOLERATE ABUSES of POWER

......ALLOW the NATION to be RUN by POLITICS ...

and  be ADMINISTERED by SELF SERVING

        POLITICIANS..

OR....

.....TO CHOOSE those who CAN, and HAVE the          CAPACITY and ABILITY, to FOCUS  UPON RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE....

        ......for the DIVERSE Malaysian RAKYAT

          .....FOR SOCIO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

                   that can EMPLACE MALAYSIA...ONCE

                    MORE ....amongst the WORLD'S

                    RESPECTED NATIONS

......FOR the SECURE , and WELL PLANNED

               FUTURE ,of our YOUNGER GENERATIONS

IT is TIME  to put a STOP to  POLITICS and all the TOXICITIES it has Brewed....to continue to DRIVE the NATION...

THE TIME is NOW , to RETURN to FOCUSSING on  GOVERNANCE ....for PEOPLE and NATION....

    SEJAHTERA MALAYSIA KITA...

MAY THE ALMIGHTY SAVE THE NATION AND

               ALL OF US...

IN ALL FOUR LANGUAGES: Ampun Tuanku, Kerajaan Madani sekarang dalam pandangan saya…

My text is in Malay, but the text in English, Mandarin and Tamil below is provided by Artificial Intelligence.”

My heart will go on

It must be at least twenty years ago when I first encountered Malaysia’s very own Stevie Wonder, Colin Ng Soon Beng. It was during Chinese New Year, at the home of a mutual friend. Colin was only about ten years old then. His mother introduced him to me as a “special child.” She said, “Pick a song. We’ll play it for Colin to listen, and he will play it back for you.” I chose My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. To this day, Colin still remembers that it was the song he played for me. Born with multiple disabilities, Colin’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Being visually impaired, he could not learn music the way most children do. Yet God blessed him with an extraordinary gift: a razor-sharp ear. He could identify the brand of a photocopier or the model of a car simply by hearing its sound. His mother, Janet, devoted her life to nurturing his talent. After losing her husband when Colin was 24, she became not only a mother but also a father figure, chauffeur, and companion in ...

DALAM EMPAT BAHASA/ IN FOUR LANGUAGES/在四种语言中/ நான்கு மொழிகளில்: A Piece of Good News Worth Celebratinng
