Tony, Wong Chen: be sensible or take responsibility for your own actions

“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

The court’s decision was inevitable. The addendum could never have stood in any court, as every addendum must still follow the proper process of Royal pardon.

Sultan Ibrahim himself has affirmed that anyone may appeal again, but only by respecting the process.

In this matter, you must bear responsibility for your own actions—especially when they are carried out so blatantly (and probably intentionally) to provoke UMNO.

If your intention is to drag DAP into disrepute and create conditions for adversaries to topple yet another Prime Minister, as was once done to Tunku, then that burden rests with you alone.

Do not, however, drag the Chinese community into another racial confrontation simply because of political rivalry. What happened in 1969 was a political clash between the winning and losing parties, never truly a racial riots. There are many testimonies of Malays protecting the Chinese and vice versa. Elsewhere in the country there was peace and people of different races were eating together in their canteens. It is due to the insensitivity of the taunting crowd, coupled with a poison letter that was written by DrM targeting Tunku that caused an unnecessary bloodbath in KL, and probably Penang as well.

You were advised in 2018 not to jeer at others when forming government; those words still stand.

Even in Selangor, DAP has not succeeded in reforming local government despite the portfolio was held by 5 to 6 state excos from DAP.

If underperformance continues, what reason would the people have to return the same MPs to office? It is time for you to use your high IQ to help the country. Meanwhile build on your EQ and relate to people more if you want to return as an MP. Otherwise remain focused on what you are good for and stop all the crap just to boost your ego.

By the way, it was the US Department of Justice’s revelation that confirms all the things we observed during Najib’s time. The Chinese and Indian communities would not just listen to you unless there are evidences sufficient enough to incriminate someone like Jho Low who is now a fugitive. They left it to the Malaysian government under DrM to deal with Najib, who is already in prison. The US knows the relationship between Dr M and Najib. Nothing to do with you, Tony.

For goodness sake, let the court process proceed. No one will blame you if you secretly celebrate whatever you want. That is between you and God who knows your every thought.

As a Chinese, I can only say that not every Chinese or even DAP member for the matter agree with them. My voice is therefore on behalf of every non-Malay who stand on the middle ground. Because Tony is the DAP disciplinary master, it does not mean that every DAP elected representative who is silent agrees with him.

My heart will go on

It must be at least twenty years ago when I first encountered Malaysia’s very own Stevie Wonder, Colin Ng Soon Beng. It was during Chinese New Year, at the home of a mutual friend. Colin was only about ten years old then. His mother introduced him to me as a “special child.” She said, “Pick a song. We’ll play it for Colin to listen, and he will play it back for you.” I chose My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. To this day, Colin still remembers that it was the song he played for me. Born with multiple disabilities, Colin’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Being visually impaired, he could not learn music the way most children do. Yet God blessed him with an extraordinary gift: a razor-sharp ear. He could identify the brand of a photocopier or the model of a car simply by hearing its sound. His mother, Janet, devoted her life to nurturing his talent. After losing her husband when Colin was 24, she became not only a mother but also a father figure, chauffeur, and companion in ...

DALAM EMPAT BAHASA/ IN FOUR LANGUAGES/在四种语言中/ நான்கு மொழிகளில்: A Piece of Good News Worth Celebratinng
